About The Position

Founded in 1968, Gilder Gagnon Howe & Co., LLC ("GGHC") is a registered investment adviser and broker-dealer giving individuals who possess long-term patience and fortitude an opportunity to create wealth. Our clients are individuals who reach us by referral and give us a portion of their capital they wish to invest aggressively. We seek to grow our clients' capital through active research and trading of securities in their separately managed accounts. Our team of approximately 90 employees is based on the west side of Manhattan in Hudson Yards. We are a firm united by our belief in growth investing for the long term. Each money manager is responsible for his or her own investment decisions. They are aided by analyst colleagues who scour the market for growth opportunities; allocators who help execute investment decisions and assist clients; and traders who connect us to the markets. GGHC is seeking a technology professional to join our dedicated IT Systems team. The ideal candidate will bring a broad technical background and provide support in all areas of technology, including end-user support. This individual will approach the role with curiosity, initiative, and critical thinking. Candidates must be hands-on problem solvers, capable of managing projects independently, and driven to deliver meaningful IT solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support and systems administration.
  • Ability to work in-office 5 days per week to support on-site users and infrastructure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, improvement-minded approach to evaluating, implementing, and supporting IT systems.
  • Experience contributing to network and infrastructure projects, including implementations, upgrades, and system decommissions.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint security, identity and access management, and MFA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Administer network infrastructure (including Wi-Fi), ensuring reliable coverage, security, and performance.
  • Support server infrastructure, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Administer identity, access controls, and help maintain security policies and standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies to improve IT operations, user experience, and security.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, system changes, and troubleshooting workflows.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT consultants to plan, execute, and support technology initiatives.
  • Manage IT vendor relationships, including procurement, renewals, support escalation, and service performance.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality technical support and guidance to all firm employees.
