About The Position

This is a job skill that is performed in the US Army or Army Reserves as a Soldier. Enlisting is required and will undergo pre-qualifying questions, an interview, an academic test, and a physical. This is an initial entry job skill, no experience necessary. The US Army will send you to school to learn the job and get the necessary certifications. OVERVIEW: Information technology specialists are responsible for maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting military computer systems/operations.

Requirements

  • Must take a series of tests (ASVAB).
  • Ages 17-34; 35-39 Requires a Waiver.
  • Skilled Technical (ST): 95 ASVAB score.
  • High school or equivalent (Required).
  • Work authorization: United States (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in computer science.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in the installation of computers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of networks, hardware, and software.
  • Provide customer and network administration services.
  • Construct, edit, and test computer programs.
