About The Position

The State of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled IT Healthcare Consultant – Project Manager to lead healthcare-related IT initiatives with a strong focus on the IBM Cúram framework. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in Cúram, experience managing complex projects, and a solid understanding of healthcare insurance and Medicaid systems. This is a 12-month contract with possible extension, offering a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The selected contractor must be a current South Carolina resident and provide their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop will be provided.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience with IBM Cúram framework, specifically with HCR and CGIS.
• Proven experience in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or other SDLC methodologies.
• Strong skills in profiling and resolving issues in both OOTB and custom Cúram code.
• IBM Cúram Certification is required.
• Must be a current South Carolina resident.
• Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.).

Nice To Haves

• Proven ability to manage and coordinate third-party vendors.
• Understanding of healthcare insurance principles and processes.
• Experience working with Medicaid systems and workflows.
• Background in public sector or academic environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
