About The Position

This position develops, maintains, and supports web-based applications, websites, and related system integrations that support the organization's business and operational objectives. The Full Stack Web Developer participates in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of internally developed web solutions and customer-facing websites. The role collaborates closely with business analysts, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable web applications. In addition to software development responsibilities, this position assists with the administration, support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of web application hosting environments, including Linux, Apache, Tomcat, and related technologies. The position participates in website modernization initiatives, user interface design improvements, user experience enhancements, system integrations, and ongoing application support.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree.
Five or more years of related experience in web application development, website administration, or software development.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills, including the ability to create and maintain application documentation, system configurations, technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
Strong software development skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivery accountability.
Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript, React or similar modern JavaScript framework, Java 11 or later, Jakarta EE, Spring and Spring Boot, Maven, REST and SOAP APIs, SQL and relational databases, Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Bitbucket and Git, Responsive web design principles, Website accessibility standards, User interface (UI) and user experience (UX).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications, websites, and related integrations.
Develop front-end and back-end components for internally developed web applications and customer-facing solutions.
Develop, maintain, and support web applications and integrations using Java, Jakarta EE, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and related technologies.
Maintain and enhance existing website solutions developed with PHP, WordPress, and related content management and design tools.
Collaborate with business analysts, business stakeholders, vendors, developers, and other IT team members to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Develop and support integrations between websites, enterprise applications, third-party systems, APIs, and databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, website, integration, and infrastructure-related issues.
Assist with administration and support of web application hosting environments, including Linux servers, Apache web servers, Tomcat application servers, and related technologies.
Support software deployments, upgrades, patching activities, and release management processes.
Monitor website and application availability, performance, and operational health and coordinate remediation efforts when issues arise.
Work closely with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to implement and maintain appropriate security controls for web applications and hosting environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including application designs, system configurations, code modifications, integrations, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational support documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and long-term system support.
Participate in testing activities to ensure software quality, reliability, and adherence to business requirements.
Research and evaluate new web technologies, frameworks, tools, and development approaches to improve application quality and maintainability.
Participate in occasional after-hours support, deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities as business needs require.
