About The Position

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. The Part-time Financial Analyst II will be responsible for any financial tasks related to supporting the assigned division(s), including but not limited to, annual budget preparations; year-end close processes with stakeholders; account reconciliations and related correcting entries. The role may also process procurement related transactions, such as creating purchase orders for technology related goods and services, and support the division with technical contract related activities. Demonstrating strong organizational skills and self-motivation, the Part-time Financial Analyst II will consistently deliver high-quality work within established timelines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Additionally, the role involves active collaboration with division staff to provide fiscal support to other Information Technology divisions and county departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field; AND Two years of professional level accounting experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Outlook, Teams, Webex, or similar tools
  • Financial experience in a large organization
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as SAP or Oracle
  • Knowledge of Information Technology related accounting, procurement, and/or budget activities

Responsibilities

  • Handle acquisitions requests submitted by departments by working request tickets and initiating purchase orders
  • Maintain a system to verify and confirm department requests against allocated budget funds
  • Maintain records and databases for procurement activities
  • Maintain and update database for anytime reporting of purchase and/or contract status as requested
  • Aid in day-to-day activities such as invoicing and budget justifications
  • Reconcile and validate a variety of financial data and information; research and interpret a variety of records, databases, and logs
  • Analyze and monitor records for compliance with financial, reporting, and legal requirements
  • Participate in other related special projects as needed
