About The Position

This strategic financial leadership role is responsible for supporting the financial and operational success of AHN’s IT transformation. The position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a broad understanding of IT finance, procurement, contracting, supply chain, and vendor management. Working closely with AHN IT leadership, finance teams, and external partners, this role will optimize IT investments, drive efficiency, and serve as the bridge between technology strategy and AHN’s operating objectives. Responsibilities include strategic evaluation, business case development, and operational oversight to support the financial viability and effective delivery of IT services and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance or related experience, with a significant portion focused on IT finance or operations.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Management or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in IT finance strategy, planning, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT procurement, contracting, and vendor management.
  • 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Understanding of key healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Benchmarking processes and sources of information.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and contracting skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various audiences, including executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the intersection of IT procurement, contracting, and supply chain operations with AHN Finance, ensuring alignment with AHN policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute effective IT vendor management strategies, including contract negotiation, performance oversight, and relationship management.
  • Manage the full IT contract lifecycle, ensuring favorable terms, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with service-level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement across IT procurement and vendor management processes by identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and value optimization.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure IT contracts and vendor relationships meet applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Implement strong governance frameworks for IT vendor selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Develop and execute IT financial strategies that align with AHN’s strategic priorities and IT roadmap.
  • Oversee IT financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for operating and capital budgets to support effective resource allocation.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of IT projects, initiatives, and investments, providing insights and recommendations to IT and finance leadership.
  • Monitor and report on AHN’s IT investment portfolio performance, identifying opportunities to optimize value and mitigate risk.
  • Establish financial baselines, track run-rate savings, validate avoided costs, monitor capital and operating impacts, and report performance against approved targets to inform decision-making.
  • Support AHN IT transformation initiatives by strengthening intercompany partnerships, transformation governance, investment prioritization, benefits realization, and ongoing DTO operating model support.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive business cases for new IT programs, projects, and technology investments.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define project scope, quantify financial benefits, evaluate risks, and assess return on investment.
  • Present clear, compelling business cases to senior leadership to secure approvals and resources for IT investments.
  • Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
  • Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
  • Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders across IT, finance, and other corporate departments.
  • Lead the unit’s education and professional development efforts to foster skillsets required for AHN’s future success.
