Waste Connections is seeking an IT Field Support Technician to provide various IT support requests, remote site support, and address IT-related issues to ensure districts operate smoothly. This role requires travel to supported sites for hands-on IT field support when remote assistance is insufficient. Responsibilities include responding to and resolving system-related issues using helpdesk incident management software to improve end-user productivity. The IT Field Technician will install, configure, and maintain core WCI software applications, manage Active Directory Security group memberships, order and set up mobile devices, deploy new software releases and patches, set up new PCs, and assist with telecom projects. The position also involves the installation and configuration of Ubiquiti network equipment and security cameras. Additionally, the technician will assist with the management of billing software based on SQL databases and support acquisitions. This is a challenging yet rewarding, hands-on, multifaceted support role that requires a self-starter with a desire to learn new technologies.
