About The Position

Get ready to dive into the thrilling world of technology as an IT Field Technician at Quick Quack! We're on the lookout for a tech-savvy superstar who can maintain IT equipment across our Quick Quack locations and install cutting-edge systems and hardware at our exciting new sites. As a member of our Field Tech team, you'll be at the forefront of Quick Quack's incident management process. You'll ensure that our internal service level agreement (SLA) requirements are not only met but exceeded on a regular basis. How? By swiftly responding to submitted incidents, conducting field audits, and successfully completing assigned IT projects. We rely on you to keep our operations running smoothly!

Requirements

  • Great problem solving skills

  • 1-2 years experience installing computer and networking equipment
  • Self-motivated and organized individual
  • Proficient with all versions of Windows
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, general network technologies, & ethernet wiring standards
  • Ability to work high energy team environment
  • Outstanding diagnostic, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve intermediate technical issues
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a highly collaborative team environment with an open communication culture
  • Help identify systemic problems and work with engineering to create solutions
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical team members and train as needed
  • Install wash site network system including running cable, terminating connections, equipment installation, wireless tuning, network configuration, and optimization
  • Administer, setup and install point of sale hardware and software
  • Test and configure PC software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
  • Administer software deployments on mobile platform (Apple iPad)
  • Organize and schedule hardware upgrades and maintenance
  • Ensure that installations are performed according to specs, budget and time requirements
  • Ensure that stores are maintained to Quick Quack standards in all regions
  • Track hardware inventory, and ensure replacements are made as necessary
  • Create technical and non-technical documentation to assist in managing and supporting IT systems.
  • Communicate updates to operations leaders.
  • Participate in a weekly on call rotation for emergency repairs.
  • Dispatch or coordinate with team to facilitate emergency repairs.
  • Other Duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
