This role is based at a jobsite in Allentown, supporting a dedicated project team at a large construction project. It provides hands-on technical support for end-user and field technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, conference room technology, printers, peripherals, and related systems. The IT Field Engineer will install, configure, and troubleshoot networking technologies, including firewalls, switches, access points, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, and other jobsite network infrastructure. The role involves owning technical issues through resolution, including troubleshooting, escalation, and coordination with other IT teams or vendors as needed. The IT Field Engineer will partner with project team leadership to support technology needs associated with mobilizations, site changes, workforce growth, and ongoing operations. Building strong relationships with project teams, regional leadership, and other business partners is key, achieved by providing responsive support and taking ownership of the overall technology experience.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in IT field support, networking, or systems administration required.
Successful completion of a background check is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience considered.
Networking or IT service management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Deploys and configures jobsite network equipment and connectivity solutions.
Installs and maintains field hardware, workstations, mobile devices, and site infrastructure.
Troubleshoots and resolves site-level technical issues per service standards.
Maintains asset tracking, recovery, and documentation within established systems.
Supports project startup and closeout technology requirements.
Coordinates escalations with Infrastructure and Service Delivery teams.
Ensures field environments adhere to enterprise security and configuration standards.
Provide hands-on technical support for end-user and field technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, conference room technology, printers, peripherals, and related systems.
