About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance & IT, this role manages the corporate ERP (Sage X3) and the Company’s technology infrastructure on a day-to-day basis to deliver effective and standardized IT processes. In addition, this role is expected to optimize Company systems, maintain accurate user access and distribution lists, and lead initiatives that enhance the organization’s use of technology, including the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence tools and practices.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 progressive years’ experience in the IT function in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong, demonstrable skills working hands-on with Sage X3 and related Business Intelligence (BI) applications
  • Strong communication skills, including an ability to facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders and to effectively communicate complex and/or technical information to diverse audiences
  • Organized, result-driven, and able to work on multiples tasks with limited supervision; ability to navigate and align support for both small and more complex projects
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing demands and priorities; solid work ethic and willingness to take on new initiatives
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP implementation or managing similar projects will be considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Company software, including Sage X3 ERP in coordination with ERP consultants, on a day-to-day basis to ensure data integrity is maintained, relevant reports are generated and system parameters are optimized
  • Manage the Company’s technology infrastructure with the support of Managed Services Provider (MSP), including servers, phone systems, laptops and related hardware
  • Ensure adequate cyber security measures are in place including policies and their implementation to ensure company’s IT infrastructure is secure from external threats
  • Recommend and update Company IT policies and procedures
  • Standardize IT processes, procedures, documentation and workflows to improve consistency, scalability, compliance and service delivery across the Company
  • Maintain and regularly update user lists, system access permissions, distribution groups and related records to support onboarding, offboarding, role changes and appropriate access controls
  • Continuously assess and optimize Company systems, applications and technology platforms to improve efficiency, integration, reporting capability, user experience and return on technology investments
  • Lead the organization in identifying, evaluating and implementing practical artificial intelligence opportunities, including establishing appropriate guidelines, training users and promoting responsible, secure and effective use of AI tools
  • Train Team Members on how to use information technology systems more effectively
  • Troubleshoot information technology issues that may arise from time to time
  • Support continuous improvement projects with data integrity audits and data analysis
  • Project manage the implementation of new and upgraded technology
  • Analyze data to support management decision making on costing and supply chain matters
  • Understand and help document processes in the current state
  • Act as a liaison with Technology Partners and manage Technology vendors
