About The Position

The IT Engineering Lead is responsible for the design, administration, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s workplace technology platforms, with a primary focus on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and end-user computing solutions. This role engineers secure, scalable, and highly available collaboration and productivity solutions that enable staff to work efficiently while meeting banking, security, and compliance requirements. The IT Engineering Lead serves as a technical authority for workplace technologies, bridging strategy and execution by translating business needs into engineered IT solutions. This role provides senior-level escalation support, establishes standards and architectures, and partners closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver a modern digital workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Designs and enforces M365 governance, security, and lifecycle management standards.
  • Engineers scalable solutions for email, collaboration, document management, and digital workflows.
  • Designs, implements, and documents IT policies and procedures for workplace technology solutions.
  • Monitors incident trends, conducts root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.
  • Acts as a solution architect translating business requirements into technical designs.
  • Evaluates emerging workplace technologies to improve productivity and resilience.
  • Partners with IT Security to ensure compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Implements security controls such as conditional access, DLP alignment, and secure collaboration.
  • Supports audits and examinations with technical documentation and evidence.
  • Assists with various IT projects as assigned.
  • Provide support to internal staff for IT issues.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
