About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on IT Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple facilities in the United States. This role combines responsibilities across enterprise wireless networking, network security, identity management, and core infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting Wi-Fi environments (UniFi/Aruba), enterprise firewalls, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms, while also maintaining a strong focus on system reliability, security, and operational excellence. The IT Engineer will work closely with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable IT services across warehouse, logistics, and office environments.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise wireless networking
  • Experience with UniFi and/or Aruba wireless platforms
  • Experience configuring and supporting enterprise firewalls (Fortinet preferred)
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, VPN, NAT, Network Segmentation
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments
  • Familiarity with Linux administration
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, or Proxmox)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise networks
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks and best practices
  • Wireless site survey and RF optimization experience
  • Experience with monitoring platforms (PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Relevant certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE/FCP, Aruba Certified Professional, Security+, Microsoft Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and support enterprise Wi-Fi networks (UniFi and/or Aruba)
  • Troubleshoot wireless performance, roaming, coverage, and interference issues
  • Configure and manage wireless access points and controllers
  • Implement SSID design and wireless security standards (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X)
  • Perform RF tuning, channel optimization, and site survey support
  • Support reliable wireless connectivity in warehouse and industrial environments
  • Configure and manage enterprise firewalls (Fortinet preferred)
  • Maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and traffic inspection policies
  • Design and support VLANs, network segmentation, and DMZ environments
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure
  • Support secure remote access solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including users, groups, and Group Policy
  • Support Windows Server and Linux operating systems
  • Manage system access controls and security configurations
  • Assist with patch management and system maintenance activities
  • Support endpoint and infrastructure security initiatives
  • Support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or Proxmox
  • Assist with virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Support enterprise storage environments (SAN, NAS, DAS)
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and system deployments
  • Assist with backup and disaster recovery operations
  • Implement infrastructure security best practices
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities
  • Support security monitoring and incident response efforts
  • Assist with compliance initiatives and audit requirements
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Monitor network and infrastructure health
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and service outages
  • Maintain network diagrams, IP address plans, and system documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support when required
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on infrastructure projects
