IT Engineer
About The Position
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power and designing data centers to operating them with teams spanning hardware and software. The IT team plays a crucial role in supporting this mission by engineering systems for one of the world's largest compute buildouts, solving complex multi-tenancy problems, and ensuring every employee has the speed and resources needed to contribute effectively. The IT Engineer will be instrumental in building internal infrastructure with engineering rigor, keeping it ahead of a rapidly growing company, and owning architecture problems typically reserved for product infrastructure.
Requirements
- Administered Okta (users, groups, app integrations) and managed MDM across macOS and Windows.
- Know Google Workspace well, with some Office 365 exposure, and support macOS, iOS, and Windows devices.
- Build automations to replace manual work, and reach for code or no-code tools to do it.
- Write clearly: documentation and knowledge-base content that both technical and non-technical people can use.
- Bring a security mindset to identity, access, and device management.
Nice To Haves
- No-code/low-code automation (Okta Workflows, n8n, Zapier, Workato).
- Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS exposure.
- AI tools, agents, and MCPs (Fluidstack standardizes on Claude).
- HRIS integrations (Deel, Rippling, Workday).
- API and webhook fluency.
Responsibilities
- Provide reliable, hands-on IT support for in-office and remote employees, resolving tickets fast with excellent service.
- Support the MDM fleet across macOS, iOS, and Windows, and troubleshoot in-office network and A/V systems.
- Administer and improve Okta and core SaaS tooling: integrations, role-based access controls, and identity hygiene.
- Run procurement and asset management: coordinate hardware purchasing and track devices across their full lifecycle.
- Build simple, reliable automations that cut manual work, and write clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Own onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors, and support access reviews and basic identity security.
