About The Position

Nomad GCS is seeking an IT Engineer II, an independent contributor responsible for designing IT build documentation and BOM assemblies for assigned projects. This role involves owning IT project design tasks end-to-end for small to mid-complexity systems, creating production-ready IT build documentation, and hands-on involvement with prototype builds and failure investigation. The IT Engineer II will release Build Documentation to manufacturing and support early production, regularly applying compliance requirements and standards (DISA list and Tempest requirements) with minimal oversight. They will also apply IT standards and best practices to designs, support manufacturing troubleshooting, resolve moderate design issues, and actively participate in design reviews and cross-functional collaboration. Basic system-level testing and validation will be performed. The role requires demonstrating consistent quality, organization, and accountability in deliverables, with the ability to estimate effort, manage priorities, and meet engineering schedules. Effective written and verbal communication with manufacturing, supply chain, and peers is essential. The IT Engineer II may interface directly with customers, suppliers, or regulatory bodies as needed. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 2-5 years of IT support experience, with 2-5 years of IT engineering experience is required. Industry experience is preferred. The progression signal for this level is the ability to be trusted to deliver correct, manufacturable designs without close supervision.
