Our IT department is looking for a developer to build data pipelines that enable data-informed business decisions. Active engagement is crucial, requiring all IT associates to have cameras on during interactions with associates, customers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication through non-verbal cues. Work location and flexibility may change based on business needs. Candidates residing within 50 miles of Headquarters may work in a hybrid capacity (remote and onsite), while those more than 50 miles away must be flexible to travel to Fairfield, OH, occasionally for special events, training, or key meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years overall software development in Java
  • 2+ years of experience with UI development using Angular
  • experience with XML schema, parsing, creating, and defining
  • XSLT/XPath experience
  • Java, Spring, experience developing REST services
  • familiarity with databases, such as DB2/Oracle, or SQL Server
  • experience with server technology such as Windows & Linux servers
  • the ability to provide application support, including responding to support after business hours
  • strong analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • the ability to manage-to-deadlines and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • willingness to learn and grow in a team environment
  • a bachelor's degree or have equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline

Responsibilities

  • strive to continuously learn and hone your craft
  • listen to business needs and design data models that support business outcomes
  • develop reliable, reusable, automated and streamlined ETL code
  • design and develop BI data marts, reports and dashboards
  • teach teammates so that we all learn and grow together
  • create reconciliation procedures and data checks to ensure data quality
  • build in automated audit, balancing and controls
  • provide production support, including on-call rotation and technical assistance to end-user and IT staff
