The IT Data Specialist II – eDiscovery role is part of the District’s Litigation Support Unit. The primary function is to modify and manipulate files for use with COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products and litigation support applications. This includes ensuring incoming case material adheres to ESI (Electronically Stored Information) specifications, notifying relevant parties of any deficiencies, and ensuring all exports for productions meet ESI specifications or the requirements of the requesting party. The role involves tracking discovery intake, managing the Discovery Log, handling file manipulation, loading, conversion services, creating and modifying files for upload, and performing individual file conversions. Responsibilities also include receiving and processing various electronic file formats, converting audio/video files for production or trial presentation, and performing quality assurance on all electronic file processing services.
