About The Position

This vacancy is for a GS-2210-12, IT Cybersecurity Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SFLC BOD INFORMATION SERVICES BR in BALTIMORE, Maryland. You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist and be responsible for providing technical support to customers who need assistance utilizing client-level hardware and software in accordance with established or approved organizational process components. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • One (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal or private sector.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex information technology hardware and software issues.
  • Experience analyzing incident data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experience administering user accounts, network access rights, and access to information systems and equipment.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating system performance and compliance with information technology security requirements.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a valid state driver's license.
