About The Position

You will serve as an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY SUPPORT DIVISION CODE 640, INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT CODE 600 of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. This role involves processing System Authorization Access Requests and other access forms, assisting with the Command Cyber Spot Check program through audits and evidence collection, and maintaining Risk Management Framework authorization packages. You will also act as the initial triage point for cybersecurity-related trouble tickets and help prepare and disseminate training materials for new employee indoctrination and annual security awareness campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate: Processing user account and access requests (i.e. System Authorization Access Request) by verifying information against checklists and established procedures.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate: Assisting senior specialists with cybersecurity audits by gathering and organizing compliance evidence (e.g., screenshots, log files) and documenting findings in a standardized format.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate: Supporting vulnerability management efforts by running pre-configured vulnerability scans using enterprise tools (such as ACAS) and compiling the raw output into a standard report for review by a senior analyst.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate: Providing basic technical support to users for common and well-documented cybersecurity issues.
  • Experience must reflect skill in attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
  • You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Process System Authorization Access Requests and other access forms.

  • Assist in the maintenance of Risk Management Framework authorization packages by gathering and organizing technical artifacts, control implementation details, and compliance evidence for review by a senior team member.
  • Serve as the initial triage point for cybersecurity-related trouble tickets routed from the Navy Enterprise Service Desk.
  • Assist in preparing and disseminating training materials for new employee indoctrination and annual security awareness campaigns, ensuring materials are up-to-date and accessible to the workforce.
