About The Position

Under close supervision, IT Coop assists customers and clients with Personal Computer and related network issues. Tasks may be performed at the end-user's location or remotely to troubleshoot, maintain, install, repair or modify PC hardware and software. Provides timely and creative solutions of basic to moderately complex issues to ensure end-user productivity. Maintains accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system and according to policies and standards. Reporting to the System Administrator, this position is 100% based in office at our Mississauga, Ontario, facility. This is a full-time, contract role that is an addition to headcount. The contract will be from 6 months to 12 months.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers, servers, and related operating environments.
  • Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication 90%.
  • Strong understanding of corporate reporting structure.
  • 0-1 years of work experience, supporting IT related tasks and responsibilities.
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science

Responsibilities

  • Assists internal customers with PC and network-related operations issues.
  • Provides timely, creative and accurate solutions to ensure end-user productivity.
  • Maintains accurate information regarding end-user issues within the tracking systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and updates in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Repair security vulnerabilities identified in the assets based on the security portal.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment and assist with asset tracking.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes by preparing and decommissioning IT equipment.
  • Monitor and report potential security risks or breaches in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving IT equipment to remote users and sites.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support the IT department’s operations.
