About The Position

This is an opportunity to join Continental's dynamic Information Technology team as an IT Consultant in the Quality & ESH IT area. The role focuses on driving digital transformation, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering impactful IT solutions within the Quality IT domain. The position involves leading IT implementation projects, overseeing application operations, and acting as an IT partner for business customers to ensure the best fit IT solutions. The IT Consultant will be responsible for managing the lifecycle and support of Quality applications, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and building strong relationships with key user groups to co-create strategic solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of IT Service Management principles and experience with Quality applications, particularly SFDC.

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in project management, with a focus on managing IT projects and collaborating with external service providers
  • Many years in IT application operations and project delivery
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and tools
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, IT, legal, and external service providers, to ensure project success
  • Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills, enabling the management of stakeholder expectations, negotiation with vendors, and conflict resolution across diverse teams
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and capable of working in a multicultural, distributed team environment
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Passion for digital innovation and emerging technologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quality applications is a strong advantage, especially in SFDC

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support IT implementation projects (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) within the Quality IT
  • Plan, execute, and deliver high-quality project outcomes on time and within budget
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues through proactive management
  • Lead project teams fostering teamwork
  • Develop and execute stakeholder communication plans to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Provide technical consulting and ensure best fit IT solutions as an IT partner for business customers
  • Oversee the operation, performance, and compliance of Quality applications, ensuring optimal availability and cost-efficiency
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage application lifecycle and support
  • Build strong relationships with internal IT departments and key user groups to co-create strategic solutions
