About The Position

The Field Project Manager (FPM) serves as the Information Services (IS) representative within the construction environment for Strategic Projects. This role builds and maintains strong partnerships with Design & Construction (D&C), low voltage vendors, trade partners, and the Strategic Project Manager (SPM) to ensure IS requirements are executed accurately and on schedule. While the SPM focuses broadly across IS, Operations, and Clinical domains, the FPM is dedicated to ensuring the construction team implements IS design intent, standards, and installation quality in real time. The FPM acts as an on site resource, liaison, and validator throughout the construction lifecycle. Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join the Informatics and Information Services (IIS) Project Management Office (PMO) for the Capital View Medical Campus Program. This role is critical in delivering technology solutions for bridging the gap between IIS and the design and construction teams working in the field. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex design and construction projects, preferably within large healthcare organizations. Applicants with backgrounds in construction management, facilities/property management, engineering/design, or IT project management are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience as Construction Management PM
  • Proficiency in tools like Procore, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD for architectural drawings.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Required experience in construction management.
  • Required experience with contractor and vendor management.
  • Onsite Position - requires availability for onsite presence weekly.

Nice To Haves

  • Smartsheet experience is beneficial but not mandatory
  • OSHA certified is a plus
  • Prefer experience related to project management, healthcare, or technology industries.
  • Prefer experience in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, PowerBI, ServiceNow, Oracle, eBuilder, ProCore, Bluebeam and others.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on site IS point of contact with D&C project teams.
  • Build relationships with contractors, subcontractors, low voltage vendors, and partner teams.
  • Communicate IS requirements and validate adherence to design intent and standards.
  • Provide real time feedback to the SPM and escalate issues as needed.
  • Evaluate contractor submittits for compliance with IS standards and coordinate response when appropriate.
  • Assess RFIs to ensure IS scope and design intent are maintained and coordinate response when appropriate.
  • Review design changes, bulletins, and updates impacting IS and communicate to IS Team and coordinate response when appropriate.
  • Validate the installation of all IS infrastructure components.
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies, or deviations from standards.
  • Validate data cabling rough in accuracy.
  • Validate power rough-in for IIS devices.
  • Validate Nurse Call rough in alignment.
  • Validate A/V rough in and backbox placement.
  • Validate cable tray and J hook pathway installation.
  • Validate installation accuracy compared to BIM models.
  • Ensure accessibility and code compliance.
  • Validate device and speaker locations vs. Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs).
  • Identify improper, incorrect, or non standard installations during routine walkthroughs.
  • Ensure contractors follow established IS and construction standards.
  • Validate installation status and progress.
  • Investigate issues that arise in the field.
  • Strengthen relationships with extended project partners.
  • Support coordination with low voltage vendors and their PMs.
  • Ensure that the IS portion of construction is delivered with high quality, alignment to standards, and full visibility for IS leadership.
  • Collaborate as a member of the IIS PMO team for the New Downtown Hospital project.
  • Coordinate daily activities, communications, and issue resolution between IIS and design/construction stakeholders.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project and IIS specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret detailed project schedules and designs using tools such as Bluebeam and ProCore.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment and conflict resolution across all project teams.
