Working under the direction of the IT Service Desk Supervisor, the Computer Support Specialist is responsible for the working of service desk tickets. This role provides computer hardware and software technical support for county employees, responds to user requests, and solves computer and software related problems. Duties also include answering computer and software related questions, computer asset processing including involvement in the procurement process, managing hardware vendor relationships for both procurement and warranty support, and installing, configuring, and repairing computer hardware, including PCs, printers, and scanners. The role also involves upgrading hardware and software. Additionally, there is a periodic need for business hours/after-hours on-site A/V support, and other related duties as assigned. All duties are performed within +/- 5%.
