About The Position

As a Computer Operator, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities that utilize our main data center computer system. You will be responsible for the use of the IBM AS/400 computer and supporting printing devices. Your role will involve customer support to produce quality service and timely report distribution.

  • Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile, etc.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis.

  • Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) – three (3) years AS400 experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of technological systems such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office, AS400.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately entering data into company systems, appropriate spreadsheets, and any other proprietary system.
  • Processing orders for King Kullen, retail stores, and checking the orders for accuracy.
  • Reporting any discrepancies with order verification to appropriate support staff.
  • Managing the Operating System and recording incident sheets appropriately for system or program problems.
  • Contacting the support team in the event of hardware/software malfunctions.
  • Ensuring all equipment is kept neat and clean per department specifications.
  • Processing and distributing day's end reports for all batch processing for various departments.
  • Running and printing daily, weekly, and monthly books, velocities, meat books, UPC labels, and Shelf Talkers labels, ensuring all reports are broken down correctly.
  • Assisting end-users with lockouts, password resets, error messages on the system, and toner changes in the printer.
  • Stocking and managing inventory with paper, labels, and supplies needed for day and night shifts.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by leadership.
