The Apprentice assists in providing a high level of technical support for their assigned business unit. This includes understanding and documenting the business processes, reporting and analysis of data, working on projects, improving business processes using available tools, and more. The IT Computer Labs Apprentice will staff the service desks on a regularly scheduled basis, offering assistance to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. This role involves hardware/software diagnosis and repairs, completing internal documentation, and utilizing the help request system to document work and customer interaction. The apprentice will work with Computer Lab Supervisors and Technicians to learn and assist with their daily tasks, and communicate regularly with Computer Lab staff, assisting in communication between student workers and staff members. Occasional coordination of small projects may also be assigned.
