About The Position

This role serves as a key advisor to executive leadership, including the CEO, CFO, COO, and CPO, to shape and advance the organization’s data strategy, enabling informed, enterprise-wide decision-making. By collaborating across departments, this role transforms business requirements into automated, intuitive reporting and analytics solutions. Through the delivery of impactful insights and the promotion of data best practices, the position drives operational excellence and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. This position reports to the Vice President of Technology, who evaluates performance annually. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, business, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience delivering business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Two years of hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and delivering data visualizations and reports, preferably in Power BI.
  • Strong ability to query, manipulate, and analyze large, complex datasets, including financial, demographic, and business performance data.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in analyzing data sources and business requirements to develop accurate enterprise data models and KPI definitions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners while maintaining a professional and positive approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized problem solver, capable of managing priorities independently and delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.

  • Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Capacity to sustain seated positions for extended durations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vendor integrations via API, MCP, and SFTP to streamline cross-functional data-sharing, as well as architecting and optimizing ETL workflows, is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud architecture or administration is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance SQL development, Python scripting, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise BI data models, semantic layers, and standardized KPI definitions.
  • Establish and enforce Power BI standards, including naming conventions, performance optimization, and data governance practices.
  • Safeguard sensitive business data by ensuring proper handling, storage, access, and distribution of confidential internal and external datasets.
  • Translate complex data analysis into clear, actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Utilize embedded AI and machine learning capabilities within BI tools to deliver predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automated alerts, and natural language query solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT to design, enhance, and optimize data warehouse architecture and performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend BI tools, features, and emerging analytics capabilities to advance organizational data maturity.
  • Integrate and manage data from diverse internal and external sources within the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Monitor and improve data quality and integrity through cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct data profiling to validate business requirements, test assumptions, and identify data or process gaps.
  • Present analytical findings and strategic insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Power BI, SQL, and analytics best practices.
  • Lead training and enablement initiatives to increase data literacy and analytics capability across the organization.
  • Support and contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
