We are seeking an IT Business Analyst that is reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player. The IT Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, documenting functional needs, and supporting system implementations and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools.
  • Business Analyst certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, ECBA).
  • Experience working with cross functional or distributed teams.
  • Experience working with federal contracts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders and end-users to identify, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and system requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Partner with developers, architects, and QA testers to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify process inefficiencies or system limitations.
  • Support the design and delivery of technical solutions, including participating in testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as process maps, requirement matrices, project plans, and application support materials.
  • Support development of Jira cards and project management plans.
  • Support change management activities, user training, and rollout support.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, compliance standards, and project methodologies.
