About The Position

PCC Airfoils – SMP manufactures military and commercial turbine blades and vanes for aircraft and land-based applications using different materials and super alloys composed primarily of nickel and cobalt to cast the blades and vanes for gas turbine engines. We have two plants located in Wickliffe, OH and Eastlake, OH. For additional company information, please visit our website at www.pccairfoils.com . The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their automation or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide an effective learning assignment for the student.

Requirements

Knowledge of electrical engineering
Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
Student pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of robotic programming a plus.
Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus

Responsibilities

Apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations.
Accomplish performance goals and receive progressive responsibility.
Identify and fix electrical and automation problems.
Attend and participate in weekly departmental meetings.
Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
Participate on project teams for some assigned projects.
Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
Work on automation components, PLCs, and HMIs; troubleshooting hardware issues, electrical issues, and logic issues while configuring automation.
