About The Position

The IT Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for the setup, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for various events and facility needs. This role requires collaboration with multiple departments to ensure seamless AV experiences and involves managing equipment inventory and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • One (1) to three (3) years of professional experience supporting audio/visual systems or related technologies required.
  • Proficiency with audio and video equipment, lighting, and multimedia production techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and clients.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work all events.
  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability and willingness to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do the same.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and set up heavy equipment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Good hearing and eyesight.
  • Mobility throughout the facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Audio/Visual Technology or related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure microphones, speakers, projectors, video monitors, cameras, lighting and related AV equipment.
  • Monitor and operate soundboards, video mixers, and recording equipment during events to ensure optimal audio and visual quality.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure all AV systems function correctly.
  • Manage AV equipment inventory.
  • Safely transport and store gear.
  • Maintain cables, wiring, and accessories.
  • Work with Information Technology, Maintenance, Entertainment, Banquets, and other departments as applicable.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
