Under direct supervision, this position handles the administration and support of operating systems, workstations, and interface/application servers. It provides technical support for requirements in the planning, coordination, programming, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to operating system software and hardware, and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production environments relating to the operating system. The role ensures stable performance for the operating systems environment through performance monitoring and tuning, and performs capacity planning and performance prediction. It ensures system maintenance as well as high-level support of the operating system and all its related software and hardware components. The position plans and implements less complex software upgrades, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed. This is a hybrid role, with the first three months requiring full-time in-office presence. The individual will collaborate on planning, coordinating, programming, and implementing releases, upgrades, and changes to applications, operating systems, and associated hardware. They will also handle a diverse range of products and tools that enhance testing and support of critical production environments, proactively monitoring and fine-tuning performance, resources, and predicting outcomes to keep systems running at optimal performance. To stay in alignment with technological advancements, the individual will work closely with the team to orchestrate seamless software upgrades, strictly adhering to change management procedures, methodologies, and company standards.
