About The Position

Associated Students Inc., CSUF provides student development opportunities through leadership, volunteer, and employment experiences. In addition, the Associated Students provides campus community members with important social, cultural, and recreational opportunities, as well as, a wide range of programs and services. Under moderate supervision the IT Assistant is responsible for providing support to both IT department staff and ASI staff. The IT Assistant assists end users with the installation of hardware, software, and computer peripherals while working to resolve hardware and software issues which may arise. The IT assistant also assists IT staff with other duties as the need arises.

Requirements

Must be a currently enrolled California State University Fullerton student in good academic standing

Nice To Haves

Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, ISDS or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation of PCs, iMacs, printers, and other peripherals
Assist ASI computer users with hardware and software problems
Assists ASI computer users in installing software
Assist in the installation of Windows 11 & MAC OS operating systems, along with related software applications
Assist in providing technical support for the Titan Student Union, Student Rec Center, & Children’s Center
Able to perform various other duties and tasks as directed by IT staff
Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. and University departments
Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies.
Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence.
Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party or supervisor immediately
