About The Position

The IT Manager – Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle management of all organizational technology assets, including hardware, software, peripherals, mobile devices, and related IT equipment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, compliance, cost optimization, procurement coordination, deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal of IT assets across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Three year of work experience within customer service, help desk, or IT Field.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL asset management processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new hires and terminated employees receive and return all assigned equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standardized asset deployment procedures.
  • Collaborate with Help Desk and Infrastructure Teams to ensure proper deployment and recovery of assets.
  • Support office moves, equipment deployments, and inventory transfers.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets including: Procurement, Receiving, Imaging/Configuration, Deployment, Inventory tracking, Warranty management, Secure disposal/decommissioning.
  • Maintain and administer asset management systems and CMDB platforms.
  • Perform routine audits of hardware and software inventories.
  • Reconcile asset records with purchasing and financial systems.
  • Monitor asset utilization and identify underutilized or obsolete equipment.
  • Generate inventory and compliance reports for leadership and auditors.
  • Coordinate purchasing of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for IT asset purchases and refresh cycles.
  • Develop and maintain IT asset management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and software licensing agreements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits involving IT assets and software compliance.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives related to asset visibility and endpoint accountability.
  • Create reports related to: Asset inventory, Asset aging, Warranty status, License utilization, Equipment refresh cycles, Budget forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within IT knowledge bases and asset systems.
  • Collaborate with Systems for New User automation.
