About The Position

We are looking for an IT Asset Technician (ISS3) to join the Asset Management team with Data Center Services! This role involves managing information technology assets, including asset tagging, tracking, and lifecycle management. The IT Asset Technician will support customers and technical service areas for all asset-related needs, including inventory intake, management, assignments, updates, reporting, and auditing. The individual in this position is responsible for maintaining inventory storage areas, managing inventory system data and configurations, and managing assets through their service life from intake to final disposition. This position requires on-site work in Salem. Business needs may require working irregular hours or shift work (24/7, weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel for job related purposes) in order to do work or make changes or maintenance that are not approved to be done during the hours of 6am – 6pm.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of information systems experience in asset or inventory management or information technology service management (ITSM), OR; An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in Information Technology asset or inventory management and using information management systems or databases for data entry and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated skill working with highly technical subject matter experts to understand requirements and take appropriate action based on the information gathered.
  • Demonstrated skill and ability to collaborate with teammates and build positive business relationships with superiors, subordinates, peers, and others outside of their organization.
  • Experience working in loading dock or shipping receiving environments to receive, inspect, and log receipt.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs regularly and up to 150lbs in a team lift occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack is required for some equipment.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Employee will be required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides.
