About The Position

This role is for an IT Asset and Licence Management Specialist for NATO, based in Bydgoszcz. The individual will own configuration and change management for a NATO CIS support unit, focusing on baselines, CI relationships, the change lifecycle, and license records. The position requires a keen eye for detail, particularly in maintaining CMDB records, handling change and incident tickets, and ensuring data quality. It involves practical application of ITIL principles and managing software licenses for various platforms.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in configuration management, change management, asset management, or a similar IT coordination role.
• Practical experience with CMDB and ticketing tools, with a focus on data quality.
• Working knowledge of licensing models in practice (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Linux) including per user, per device, and subscription models.
• Familiarity with CIS environments and a basic understanding of networks, servers, and end-user systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices.
• English proficiency at C1 or strong B2 level (STANAG 6001 Level 3).
• An active security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining CMDB records to ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability across systems.
• Handling change and incident tickets in ITSM, JIRA, or equivalent systems, and managing them through to closure.
• Applying core principles daily: baselines, CI relationships, change lifecycle, and approvals.
• Maintaining license records, including tracking usage and identifying missing, expired, or unused licenses.
• Producing documentation, tickets, and reports that are clear and followable, including for audit purposes.
• Coordinating between technical staff, stakeholders, and management to ensure activities progress smoothly.
