About The Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is seeking applicants for an IT Apple/Mac Support LOA/LOB position. This role will assist academic and administrative Apple support staff with the support of hardware and software in the computing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in an enterprise network, preferably within Higher Education, and possess strong customer service skills and the ability to create and follow technical documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 2 years of IT Apple/Mac Support experience in a professional environment
• Excellent customer service skills and possess the ability to work independently or as a team
• Strong understanding of current Apple operating systems
• Knowledge of testing and deploying desktop applications using industry best practices
• Experience with a variety of server software and hardware.
• Have the ability to apply and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to specific services

Responsibilities

• Solve technical and hardware/software-related problems while working with customers of varying technical abilities and knowledge.
• Assist with the implementation of equipment based on institutional guidelines and IT requirements.
• Documentation of processes and procedures.
• Maintain Apple computers with a variety of networked peripheral devices.
• Monitor and coordinate projects and assignments of varying technical levels.
• Use computer imaging software to roll out applications and use a variety of remote access tools within a Desktop Management or Mobile Device Management System.
• Contribute in a friendly and professional manner to customer service issues in a higher education environment.
• Represent the IT Department, the college and NSHE in a highly professional manner.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Assisting other teams within IT with day to day tasks.
• Assisting with events and other AV related setups.
• Assisting with classroom related IT and/or AV related issues.
