About The Position

The IT Analyst is a senior delivery role within the IT PMO. We are looking for a technically oriented individual to help shape and deliver our next generation SAP reporting, data, and AI capability. This role sits at the intersection of business architecture, data governance, financial insight, and SAP analytics, working primarily in the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem and supporting the build-out of our SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) platform, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting, and SAP Joule enablement. In addition to delivering analytics and data solutions, this role carries accountability for structured delivery, tracking, and informed decision support across a portfolio of initiatives. The successful candidate will operate confidently across both IT delivery and governance, ensuring disciplined execution aligned to scope, timelines, and budget. This is an ideal next step for someone with ~3+ years of SAP experience who is ready to take on broader accountability, learn quickly, and lead delivery across an evolving portfolio while contributing to value-driven AI adoption.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) in an analytics, reporting, data, or business process role.
Meaningful experience being involved in enterprise-level IT transformation projects.
Experience working with data concepts (measures/dimensions, master data, data quality, lineage, governance) within BI or reporting environments.
Strong communication skills: able to translate between business, finance, and technical teams.
Proven ability to learn quickly, operate in ambiguity, and take initiative in a fast-evolving technology space.

Nice To Haves

Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent).
Familiarity with SAP analytics ecosystem components such as Embedded Analytics, SAC, BW/BW/4HANA, or cloud data modelling concepts.
Exposure to data platform concepts aligned with SAP Business Data Cloud.
Awareness of SAP Joule capabilities and value-driven use cases within S/4HANA.
Experience supporting UAT, test planning, defect triage, and release readiness for analytics/reporting deliverables.
Exposure to financial reporting and consolidation tools (e.g., Group Reporting / OneStream) and BI tools (e.g., SAC / Power BI) is an asset.
Experience operating in large, multi-division enterprise environments.
Experience in manufacturing or complex enterprise environments with cross-functional reporting needs.

Responsibilities

Lead stakeholder discussions and workshops to understand, document, and validate reporting / analytics needs, including KPIs, definitions, and business process context.
Partner with Business Solutions SMEs to translate business questions into clear, testable functional specifications and backlog items, maintaining traceability from requirement to delivery.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, Finance, and IT functional teams, ensuring shared understanding of outcomes, scope, priorities, and financial implications.
Manage delivery plans, dependencies, risks, and issues across a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring alignment to approved scope, schedule, and budget.
Identify and communicate both delivery and financial risks, supporting mitigation strategies and informed decision-making.
Support solution design for reporting that leverages SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), balancing operational “in-the-system” reporting with cross-functional dashboards and stories.
Partner with developers to shape data models and reporting approaches appropriate to SAP landscapes and financial reporting requirements.
Support testing and validation: develop test scenarios, provide representative data, validate results, and triage defects related to reporting logic, data integrity, and performance.
Contribute to the development of reporting capabilities that support both operational insight and financial analysis across the enterprise.
Contribute to the design and rollout of the SAP Business Data Cloud approach.
Embed data governance expectations into requirements (definitions, ownership, access, privacy/security), ensuring consistency and reliability of reporting outputs.
Align data and reporting design with financial governance needs, including traceability, auditability, and consistency of key financial metrics.
Support adoption through demos, documentation, and knowledge sharing, with a focus on enabling business and finance users.
Support project and initiative-level tracking, including budget alignment, cost monitoring, and forecasting (if applicable) in collaboration with Finance partners.
Assist with variance analysis (planned vs. actual vs. forecast) and help articulate key drivers, risks, and corrective actions in a clear and structured manner.
Contribute to the development of financial dashboards and reporting using SAC and other enterprise tools (e.g., OneStream, Power BI where applicable).
Translate data and reporting outputs into clear insights that support IT and Finance leadership decision-making and prioritization.
Support the expanding use of SAP Joule by reviewing use cases, testing, troubleshooting, and enabling adoption across the ecosystem.
Identify and contribute to practical AI use cases that improve reporting efficiency, financial analysis, and project execution.
Collaborate with internal teams to align AI initiatives with enterprise governance and value-driven outcomes.
