About The Position

Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced ISR Instructor to provide independent technical and project management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to the USSF ISR enterprise. This role involves instruction, development, and maintenance of curriculum for domain-specific foundational intelligence training and tradecraft training. Areas covered include space targeting, space foreign instrumentation signals (FIS), cyber intelligence, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED), and all-source intelligence analysis. The position is located at Peterson Space Force Base, CO, and is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • TS and SCI eligible clearance
  • BS degree with 10+ years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Subject SME in Space Intelligence
  • Prior training and credentials as an instructor
  • Representative instructor credentials include prior Service Intelligence Training, USAFWS instructor, National Cryptologic School faculty, NSSI instructor, DOT/DOV qualified instructor.

  • MS degree with 8+ years of experience, or PhD with 5+ years of experience
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Space and Counterspace Intelligence, Foreign Missile Systems, Foreign Space Systems, Adversary Counterspace, C4ISR, Remote Sensing, NRO Systems, Orbital Mechanics, SATCOM (US and Foreign), US Strategic Systems, Ballistic Missile Defense, DoD Joint Operations, Space-based Weather, and Threats to Space Systems.
  • Qualified in Instructional Systems Design/Curriculum Development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead course development, instruction, and curriculum updates for Space Force ISR training programs.
  • Serve as the schoolhouse ISR instructor, ensuring course content remains current, relevant, and aligned with USSF ISR requirements.
  • Train students in FISINT fundamentals, collection methodologies, analytic techniques, and real‑world tradecraft application.
  • Maintain instructional quality and support continuous improvement across the training pipeline.
  • Update written Assessments including written exams, performance exercises, and rubrics for all courses.
  • Train students in the fundamentals of collecting, analyzing, and applying FISINT techniques and tradecraft using real‑world operational scenarios.
  • Maintain close coordination with mission partners to ensure training reflects current operational needs.
