About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and updating key record-keeping systems to support Smart Sand’s Quality and Inventory Systems to ensure we maintain compliance with ISO certification requirements. The ISO Specialist will work with Smart Sand Management as well as key Corporate personnel in Quality, Safety, Inventory, and Environmental to ensure our documentation processes are maintained and records are complete, organized, and readily accessible. This position primarily reports to the General Manager of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Control and the Corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager; but will require taking direction from other Smart Sand managers. This position is based at our Oakdale, WI facility, but may require travel to other Smart Sand locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles as related to procurement.
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound judgments.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Associates in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the ISO standards and related processes to maintain proper documentation for the relevant quality and environmental systems.
  • Participates in the internal & external audit process.
  • Works with Process Area Managers to ensure processes and controls are properly documented.
  • Develops instructional and process documentation to ensure processes are clearly defined.
  • Works with Process Area Managers to develop user-friendly forms to document measurable objectives, compliance parameters, and other identified measurables.
  • Works with Process Area Managers to ensure a root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions have been documented.
  • Maintains a detailed calendar of Quality and ISO-related events to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual measurables are reviewed and reported on.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
