IS Systems Analyst - Business Applications

About The Position

Analyzes, designs, implements, and maintains systems to support business requirements. The role requires flexibility to meet job requirements and 24/7 on-call after-hours support. A valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required by hospital policy. The employee must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, meet insurance eligibility and driving qualifications, complete required training, and maintain eligibility under the hospital’s insurance guidelines. The position carries out systems analysis and translates business requirements into technical specifications; tests and debugs systems; provides technical support and troubleshooting; and designs and develops systems by analyzing requirements and creating workflow charts and diagrams. It maintains documentation of system design, testing, and implementation, collaborates with cross-functional teams to align and integrate systems with business needs, trains end-users on new or modified software and applications, and keeps current with emerging information-systems trends and technologies.

Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; must pass the hospital’s motor vehicle background inspection and meet its insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training requirements.
Familiarity with data management systems and knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics.
Technical aptitude and working knowledge of application functionality and integration between desktop clients and servers, including applications, databases, storage, and web services.
Basic understanding of technology hardware and interfaces as they relate to healthcare medical, business, and/or clinical systems.
Basic working knowledge of client-server systems.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and ability to communicate complex problems.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and information-systems personnel across the organization.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
ITIL certification or training.
Three years of combined experience providing information technology support, or equivalent education.
Experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience with relational databases and data analysis.
Experience designing user interfaces.
