About The Position

This job oversees the lifecycle of a project. Assigns personnel to various projects; directs or coordinates their activities; interfaces activities of development team with all other departments; prepares activity and progress reports; and provides general consulting and problem-solving services. Serves as a point of contact for various departments to ensure coordination among the departments and maintains overall responsibility for project deliverables. Serves as the primary source of expertise for the team, offers instruction, guidance and support for complex situations and workflows; sets guidelines for consistent processes for the team to follow and offers design and build options for workflows presented. Serves as a mentor and a trusted advisor to the team and primary contact for issue tracking, resolution and escalation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of Epic experience, OR 2 years of experience in any of the following areas: Epic, education, healthcare, or information systems/technology experience with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Epic Credentialing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficient in Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Ability to exercise emotional intelligence to work under pressure and manage time wisely.
  • Proficient in business writing, public speaking, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Project management and leadership skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet required deadlines.
  • Analytical skills and ability to exercise logical thought processes in order to formulate solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts (which may require driving at night).
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities (which may include overnight stay).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 of year project management experience.
  • 1 year of clinical experience.
  • LEAN Green Belt certification.
  • Epic certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of assigned applications and business processes/functions.
  • Modifies and supports assigned applications/processes as appropriate.
  • Ensures educational materials are revised as needed to support a micro-learning environment and efficiency education for end-users.
  • Manages all facets of assigned project(s) including Epic support and education.
  • Communicates effectively and acts as a mentor to staff addressing and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Serves as escalation point for team and ensures the project supports organizational and departmental goals.
  • Partners and communicates with assigned customers/end users regarding training, on-going educational needs and continued Epic support.
  • Maintains and enhances professional competency.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
