TSMC Arizona is looking for an IRWP Design Engineer to join our F21 project located in Phoenix, Arizona . As a IRWP Design Engineer, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust. The IRWP Design Engineer is responsible for participating in the design and contracting of the new IRWP. Our systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. Design engineers work closely with manufacturing, facility teams, suppliers and vendors daily to understand systems reliability and quality concerns and work to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Possess project management and communication coordination skills
  • Biological, chemical, and physical knowledge of water treatment technology, including clean water and wastewater. Knowledge of P&ID, piping, and basic water engineering.
  • Highly enthusiastic and interested in design work.
  • Possess independent thinking and operational abilities.
  • Ability to create, check and modify design documentation and clearly present with manufacturing/facility teams
  • May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
  • Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects.
  • The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts.
  • Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator.
  • Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment.
  • Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.

  • Cross-organizational communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Assessment and implementation of innovative technologies to address new process challenges and promote environmental friendliness.
