About The Position

Outerland is a 70-person landscaping company looking for an Irrigation Manager to run our irrigation department, hands-on in the field and leading the team behind it. This is a great position for someone looking to grow their career with a senior team of green industry professionals.

Requirements

5+ years in irrigation, including diagnostics and repair.
Strong time management skills.
Strong communication skills through multiple formats.
Experience leading a crew or team.
Proficient with installing and maintaining Hydrawise and other WiFi-based controllers.
Comprehensive computer skills including Google Suite.
Ability to learn internal ERP platform.
Comfortable with scheduling and basic billing or admin work.
Valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Physically able to dig, lift, bend, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems.
Handle complex service calls, startups, inspections, and blowouts.
Work with two-wire and multi-strand systems, well and town water sources.
Support landscape maintenance and the snow program in the off-season.
Lead and develop irrigation technicians, including hands-on teaching.
Build and manage the seasonal schedule for startups, inspections, and blowouts.
Manage repair schedule and communicate clearly and accurately to the accounts team.
Review and process billing to ensure work is invoiced accurately and on time.
Communicate with and manage subcontractors and vendors as needed.
Track parts, inventory, and job documentation.
