Requirements

Strong knowledge related to irrigation systems and equipment
Proven ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting irrigation issues quickly and efficiently
Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications for landscape projects
Knowledge of environmental regulations related to water use and sustainable landscaping practices
Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, and team members

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule for all water management technicians.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
Coordinate with technicians all necessary repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faulty components, or adjusting sprinkler heads.
Monitor and optimize irrigation schedules, adjusting watering patterns based on weather conditions, plant types, and system performance to conserve water and promote plant health.
Implement water-saving technologies and practices to promote sustainability.
Monitor water usage and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions.
Stay informed about local water regulations and ensure compliance.
Lead and manage a team of irrigation technicians, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality work and adherence to industry standards.
Provide training on proper installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
Foster a culture of safety and efficiency within the team.
Work closely with asset managers and as needed, clients, to understand their specific irrigation needs.
Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing systems.
Address client inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Stay updated on advancements in irrigation technology.
Integrate smart irrigation systems and sensors for more precise control.
Utilize data analytics to optimize irrigation schedules and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of irrigation installations and maintenance activities.
Keep an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
Manage a team of technicians' schedules and daily/weekly time approvals.
Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations related to water usage and irrigation.
Ensure that all irrigation practices comply with environmental regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Stay informed about industry best practices.
