About The Position

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company, a manufacturer of pipe and fittings for over a century, is seeking an Irrigation Customer Service Associate. This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, working out of the 520 Providence Rd. office and reporting to the Irrigation Customer Service Manager. The role involves managing various aspects of customer service for the Irrigation Division, including order entry, pricing, credit management, and customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage credit requests, including processing credits for missing or damaged pipe and reconciling discrepancy lists.
  • Coordinate warranty credits and PIP claims with Outside Sales Managers.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), partner with Tech Services and Outside Sales Managers to create claims reports, and follow up on product pick-up for credit issuance.
  • Create replacement orders when required.
  • Monitor Irrigation backlog (ZOP2/ZBLD), ship stranded orders, contact customers to reconcile aged POs, and coordinate deliveries.
  • Provide PIP Sales Support, including building relationships with PIP customers, entering and managing PIP orders and shipments, and creating/managing job quotes.
  • Oversee monthly billing for Rep 02.
  • Lead the Irrigation Division's order entry process to meet pound goals, process donation and sample orders, send order confirmations, and clear EDI orders.
  • Create and manage job quotes for customers, collaborate with Outside Sales Managers on pricing, and log/track job quotes in Salesforce.
  • Independently change pricing levels based on Irrigation Division strategy, distribute pricing sheets, and manage customer Price Tracker spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate with the Pricing Group to keep SAP up to date and manage pricing requests from various rep groups and the International team.
  • Gain and request fittings pricing for PVC and Cast Iron.
  • Manage new customer setup in SAP and Salesforce, send credit applications, and forward completed applications to Accounts Receivable.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Customer Data Coordinator to complete customer profiles in SAP upon approval.
  • Manage any freight issues that may arise.
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests within Irrigation's standard of 15 minutes.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with all Irrigation customers.
  • Set correct, attainable expectations for customers.
  • Accompany Irrigation team members to trade shows and customer visits.
  • Provide administrative support as needed for the team.
  • Serve as backup for the Irrigation Shipping Coordinator when needed.
