About The Position

Peraton is seeking to hire an Irregular Warfare SOF Sensitive Activities Integrator (SAI) for its OPIAS program. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Special Operations professional—preferably a Special Forces Warrant Officer (180A), Navy SEAL, or mid‑grade SOF Officer—who operates effectively at the nexus of tactical expertise and strategic planning. As the SAI, you will serve as a flag-level staff officer responsible for planning, developing, and executing sensitive and compartmented operations in support of a Combatant Command (CCMD) Irregular Warfare campaign. In this role, you will function as a Subject Matter Expert on special programs (ACCM, SAP, STO) and specialized authorities, working seamlessly with planners, operators, analysts, and partners across the CCMD and the Intelligence Community to identify, target, and exploit adversary vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years; 14 years in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a Special/Sensitive Activities Operations Officer with understanding of Advanced Special Operations Techniques or SOF Support of Sensitive Activities.
  • Experience incorporating SAP and STO capabilities in plans and operations.
  • Staff-level planning and CONOP development experience at the Joint Staff, Combatant Command, TSOC, or Sub-Unified Command level.
  • Experience conducting analysis of irregular warfare problem sets to highlight threat network organization, key nodes, and vulnerabilities.
  • Formal training or 3+ years of practical experience utilizing F3EAD, Social Network Analysis, and/or CARVER methodologies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Current U.S. Passport with at least One (1) year remaining on validity.
  • Current, Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, monitor, and provide direct support for 10 USC § 127 SOF programs and surrogate operations.
  • Lead the SOF requirements adjudication and management process, ensuring operational needs are validated, resourced, and legally compliant.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the employment of specialized fiscal and operational authorities for sensitive missions.
  • Identify adversary vulnerabilities, critical nodes, and centers of gravity within the CCMD Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Develop, draft, and implement strategic plans and concepts of operation (CONOPs) to attack and exploit identified adversary vulnerabilities.
  • Design and integrate Irregular Warfare (IW), sensitive activities, and compartmented operations into broader CCMD campaign plans.
  • Orchestrate the end-to-end staffing and approval lifecycle for highly sensitive operational requests.
  • Analyze incoming mission requirements, identify key stakeholders, and develop comprehensive routing plans and suspense timelines.
  • Adjudicate complex inter-staff equities, risk assessments, and Operational Law (OpLaw) reviews to ensure mission viability and legal compliance.
  • Synthesize multi-faceted staff coordination into concise, executive-level decision-making products.
  • Draft Commander Ghost Emails (GEMs), Executive Briefs, and "What’s the Ask?" summaries to facilitate rapid General/Flag Officer decisions.
  • Present highly classified and compartmented operational concepts to senior CCMD and Intelligence Community (IC) leadership.
  • Translate the Commander's final decisions and intent into formal, actionable directives for subordinate and forward-deployed units.
  • Draft, coordinate, and publish Execute Orders (EXORDs), Night Orders, Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs), and General Administrative messages (GENADMINs).
  • Manage and integrate special programs across the full array of security compartments, explicitly including ACCM, SAP, and STO.
  • Operate as a flag-level staff liaison, seamlessly integrating DoD Title 10 sensitive operations with Intelligence Community (Title 50) and coalition partner efforts.
