About The Position

The Ironworker is responsible for fabricating precise structural and non-structural parts using various materials to support production needs. This role requires a strong attention to detail, skilled use of various band saws, drills, punches, and hand tools, the ability to interpret complex drawings, and adaptability to rapidly changing project demands. Successful performance in this role requires strict adherence to safety and quality standards, craftsmanship, initiative, and daily communication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery, beamlines, or similar automated fabrication equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and punching on various kinds of material.
  • Read, interpret, and complete work from drawings, sketches, custom specifications, or verbal direction.
  • Verify correctness of parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, templates, and other measuring tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment that is aligned with safety and expectations
  • Follow all safety procedures, proper PPE use, and equipment operation guidelines
  • Assist other departments as needed when workload or priorities shift.
