As an Ironworker, you will play an essential role in installing structural and miscellaneous steel while working under the direction of a Foreman. Requirements

Successful candidates must hold valid certifications in: Fall Protection, Rigging, Confined Space Entry and Monitor, WHMIS
Must register with Ironworkers Local 97 (IW97) as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel under the supervision of the Foreman.
Position and secure reinforcing steel bars and metal mesh within concrete forms to strengthen concrete structures.
Unload, organize, and position steel components so that each piece can be safely hoisted and installed as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.
Use hand and power tools to cut, weld, fasten, and assemble steel components.
Follow all company and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining clear communication and a positive, professional attitude.
Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are safe, functional, and properly maintained.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or other supervisory personnel.
