About The Position
As an Iron Pourer, you will be transporting molten metal from furnaces to molds and collecting samples and /or signal workers to sample metal for analysis.
Requirements
- Must be available for weekend and overtime assignments as required.
- Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
- Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles.
- Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training.
- Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift. Upon obtaining certification, operate forklift to transport waste and product
- Will operate ladles and hand held controlled mechanisms to pour regulate flow of molten into sand molds to produce castings.
- Transport molten metal from furnaces to molds.
- Accurately read temperature gauges.
- Collect samples and /or signal workers to sample metal for analysis.
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.
