This is a part-time, day shift position for an IR Tech who demonstrates a thorough knowledge of radiographic/digital imaging equipment and table positioning for safe patient care. The role involves assisting physicians as scrub/circulator for Interventional Radiology procedures, including various vascular, gastrointestinal, urologic, and portosystemic shunt procedures, as well as endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms. The IR Tech will use fluoroscopy, specialized wires, stents, and other tools to visualize and intervene in patient conditions in real-time. The position requires the ability to acquire and send images to PACS, communicate effectively, transport patients, assist with patient transfers, and maintain communication with the physician operator. The role also includes administering contrast media, recognizing and responding to contrast reactions, and reviewing patient information to correlate with procedure protocols. The position also involves a willingness to learn new procedures and coordinate in-service education.
