About The Position

The IPSC Technician II works under the direction of a supervisor in a plant environment and provides services that may include inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned or Total Safety equipment. The role regularly interfaces with customers and supports respiratory protection, breathing air, and protective clothing services. The position requires safe work practices and adherence to Total Safety and customer policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license from the state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance.
Good driving record and eligibility for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving a company truck.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, clean, service, reassemble, and test SCBA and other respiratory and breathing air equipment according to approved testing and service procedures.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers.
Complete inspection and repair documentation, data entry, billable job-cost expenses, and timesheets accurately and promptly; obtain customer signatures as required.
Learn to conduct detailed visual inspections and functional system tests, report deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to customers.
Learn to assess required repairs and quote customers prices and delivery timelines for repair or replacement.
Assist with the laundry facility by collecting dirty FR clothing from plants, washing it, delivering it to employee lockers, repairing damaged FR clothing, and ordering new FR clothing.
Conduct fit testing for Suncor employees.
Keep the work area and other areas clean and orderly.
Learn to issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment using company- or customer-provided software.
Perform additional duties after training.
Communicate effectively, build rapport with customers, and work safely in compliance with Total Safety and customer policies and procedures.
