The PD Budget Engineering Project Manager role uniquely combines technical and financial expertise to drive budget and cost for iPhone engineering product development for the PD mechanical design engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, engineering operations, finance, cost management, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and financial management skills, with the ability to assess risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and financial information for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading product budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and governance across iPhone engineering development programs for the Product Design organization.
  • Providing comprehensive oversight of mechanical design development-related expenditures, including materials, tooling, prototypes, testing, manufacturing, and other engineering investments throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed program budgets.
  • Driving budget planning and review processes.
  • Ensuring alignment between technical development objectives and financial commitments.
  • Serving as a key partner to engineering leadership, providing insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that support informed decision-making and fiscal accountability.
  • Preparing and delivering budget and cost reviews for senior leadership and executive teams.
